Narcan/Naloxone (Overdose Response Program)

Overdose Response Program

The Overdose Response Program offers free training and certification in the use of naloxone, the life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. The program provides information to individuals regarding how to recognize an opioid overdose, administer naloxone, and care for the individual until emergency services arrive. Individuals who complete the training program are provided with a naloxone (Narcan) kit.

Individuals can receive training Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Somerset County Health Department at 8928 Sign Post Rd., Westover, MD.  We can also provide training to agencies, organizations, businesses, and community groups at their location.  To schedule a training for your small group, call 443.523.1700.
