Overdose Response Program
The Overdose Response Program offers free training and certification in the use of naloxone, the life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. The program provides information to individuals regarding how to recognize an opioid overdose, administer naloxone, and care for the individual until emergency services arrive. Individuals who complete the training program are provided with a certificate for naloxone that is valid for two years. Individuals who are trained and certified by the Somerset Behavioral Health Authority can receive the easy to use Narcan formulation of the medication at no charge through Karemore Pharmacy in Princess Anne and Marion Pharmacy in Crisfield.
Naloxone training and certification is available:
Individuals can become certified anytime Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Somerset County Recovery and Re-entry Center at 11545 Somerset Ave. in Princess Anne, and at the Somerset County Behavioral Health building at 8928 Sign Post Rd., Westover, MD
