An event every week that begins at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until October 25, 2022
Smoking leads to disease, disability, and harms nearly every organ in the body. Beginning September 6 and September 7, the Somerset County Health Department will be hosting adult smoking cessation classes at different locations in the county.
The Smoking Cessation Program is a 10-week program to help individuals quit using tobacco products. With the assistance of a certified quit coach, participants will develop their own personalized plan to help them reach their goals. The program includes 8 weekly core sessions followed by 2 additional support sessions. Participants will be provided with a cessation workbook and will also receive incentives for participating. Vouchers for free nicotine replacement therapy are also available to all participants.
The program will be held in the following locations:
Eligible participants must be 18 years or older and a current tobacco user. One-on-one virtual or in-person classes are available by appointment. For more information or to enroll in the program, contact Alyssa Weston at [email protected] or call 443-523-1700.
