(Westover, MD) – The Somerset County Health Department will be holding Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination clinics throughout the month of October. All events will be held at the Somerset MAC Inc., 8928 Sign Post Road, Suite 3, Westover, MD. Pfizer vaccinations will be every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointment is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. We are offering first, second, and booster shots to those who meet eligibility requirements.
Individuals are eligible to receive a booster shot 6 months after receiving a 2nd dose of Pfizer. Proof of vaccination will be required. Pfizer booster shots have been approved for those who meet the following requirements:
- Age 65 and older
- Age 18 and older living in long-term care settings
- Age 18-64 with underlying health conditions
- Age 18-64 who are at an increased risk for COVID-19 exposure or transmission due to working or residing in certain settings
This event will not be open for media coverage. The Somerset County Health Department believes the protection and the privacy of those being vaccinated is paramount. We are asking to please provide our patients the same level of privacy.
