Westover, Md. – Walk Somerset with us on Wednesday, May 15, in honor of Global Employee Health & Fitness Month. Co-workers, friends, and family are invited to join in one of three Walk Somerset events in Princess Anne, Westover, and Crisfield. Each walk will start at 12:00pm and meet at the following locations:
- Somerset County Office Complex, 11916 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, MD
- Centralized Athletic Facility, 30290 Sam Barnes Rd., Westover, MD
- Crisfield Library, 100 Collins St., Crisfield, MD
Walkers are encouraged to bring comfortable shoes and wear sunscreen. Water will be provided.
Global Employee Health & Fitness Month is a celebration of health and fitness among employers and employees in the workplace. From May 1 – 31, 2019 worksites around the world are encouraged to promote healthy lifestyle choices, physical activity, and worksite safety.
Walk Somerset is a collaborative effort by Somerset County Health Department, Somerset County Recreation & Parks, Somerset County Tourism, Main Street Princess Anne, Somerset County Department of Public Works and several community members. Funding for this event is made possible from the Maryland Department of Health, Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control.
