MCHP is a health insurance program that provides free health care coverage to children under the age of 19 and pregnant women of any age who meet income eligibility.
MCHP enrollees obtain care from a variety of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) through the Maryland HealthChoice Program.

Maryland Medical Assistance for Families provides free health care coverage to parents/other family members caring for children who are eligible for MCHP.

APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP AND IDENTITY

How can I apply?

The application is brief and the process is simple.
The application asks for general information and social security numbers for people living in the house, address, phone number, private insurance information (if any) and income information.
